A production by Emaa’ El-Samaa Troupe, written, directed, and performed by the brilliant Samaa Ibrahim. Since its premiere 16 years ago, the play has toured countless international festivals and was staged across the Arab world and beyond — from Erbil, Fujairah, Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, to Poland and Armenia — alongside numerous performances in Egypt.
In 2010, “I’m Carmen” was ranked among the world’s top monodrama works by the Wroclaw International Festival, celebrated for its unique blend of Egyptian comedy and musical flair.
