Mai Kamal (Egypt)

Mai Kamal is a multi-genre singer, from Classic Arabic to Jazz and Opera.

Spouting from a musical background, Mai has been influenced by her mother - Afaf Rady - having incubated her since birth into a strong musical background of both Classic Arabic and Operatic singing that shaped her preforming style.

Following her immense passion for Music; Mai first supported her music journey with a 3-year Operatic study at the Cairo Opera House. With a wide range of notable arias under her sleeve, Mai has performed at various operatic concerts singing arias from “Carmen”, “Le Nozze di Figaro” and “La Boheme”.

Mai turned to her old passion for Oriental Jazz and perused her learning under the instruction of prominent vocal teachers in Classical Arabic and Jazz. She later on took her stage preforming experience to Cairo’s most popular venues preforming songs that swing between Arabic and Jazz music in experimental and eccentric new merges.

Mai currently is launching a stream of Arabic originals and aspiring for the creation of many more that listeners can connect, relate to and enjoy.
